Los Angeles, CA (AP) - Bronny James, the highly touted son of NBA legend LeBron James, has declared for the NBA draft while also entering the transfer portal, giving him multiple options for the next step in his basketball career.

James had a solid freshman season at the University of Southern California (USC), averaging 48 points, 28 rebounds, 21 assists, and 08 steals per game across 25 appearances, including six starts. He shot 36.6% overall and 26.7% on three-pointers.

The 6-foot-4 guard was initially listed at 6-foot-4 on USC's roster, but he measured at 6 feet 1 12 inches at the NBA Draft Combine. James announced his intention of declaring for the draft and entering the transfer portal on social media.

James's decision comes after an impressive season in which he helped lead USC to the NCAA Tournament. He is widely regarded as one of the top prospects in this year's draft and is expected to be selected in the first round.
